Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah has issued new rules regarding political succession in the country.
The rules issued Monday outline who can become members of the Allegiance Commission, the body established last year to vote on future kings.
The order also details what should be done if a member dies and how a crown prince should be chosen.
Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932 by the Saud family. The country's current leader, King Abdullah, came to power in 2005.
Saudi rule has traditionally been passed down to the sons of Abdul Aziz bin Saud, the founder of the Islamic kingdom.
