Foxy Brown has been jailed for violating terms of her probation.
The 27-year-old rapper was incarcerated on August 22, following an order from Judge Melissa C. Jackson. She will be confined until her next hearing on September 7.
Foxy Brown - real name Inga Marchand - was arrested earlier this month after reportedly hitting her neighbor with her cell phone. Authorities also said she skipped her court-ordered anger management classes and traveled out of the city without permission.
"She has an air of entitlement about her," city Department of Probation lawyer Matilde Leo said at a hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court. "Probation is a privilege, not a right...she has finally abused that privilege to the point of no return."
Brown was on probation for attacking two manicurists in a Manhattan nail salon in 2004. She was arrested August 14 on charges of assaulting Arlene Raymond, 25, on July 30. The pair reportedly fought over the volume of Brown's car radio.
In court, Brown revealed that she is three months pregnant, and plans to get married.
