Officials in northwest Pakistan say at least 12 people were killed Sunday when a minibus ran off a mountainous road and plunged into a ravine.
At least eight others were injured in the crash, which occurred near the town of Malakand, northwest of Islamabad.
Police say the vehicle was headed to the town of Chitral from the provincial capital, Peshawar, when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
It is unclear how many people were traveling on the bus at the time of the accident.
Fatal road accidents are common in Pakistan, due mainly to poorly maintained roads and disregard for traffic rules.
