A Turkish court has jailed five suspects pending trial in the killing of three people at a Christian publishing house last week. No trial date has been set.
The court also released Sunday six other people who were in custody. It is unclear what charges they faced.
A German citizen and two Turks who had converted to Christianity were killed in the attack in Malatya.
They were found bound to chairs with their throats slit. At least one of the victims also had several stab wounds.
Representatives of Turkey's small Protestant community have blamed the killings on growing intolerance towards Christians and missionaries.
The Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches have condemned the attack, as has Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, who said there can be no justification for it.
