Iraqi officials say a suicide car bomber has killed at least 10 people outside the city of Ramadi.
They say the blast also wounded 25 people.
Earlier Tuesday, the U.S. military announced the capture of two leaders of a car bomb network believed responsible for killing around 900 Iraqis and wounding nearly two thousand others.
The military says the men, Haytham Kazim Abdallah Al-Shimari and Haydar Rashid Nasir Al-Shammari Al-Jafar, were arrested separately last Wednesday in Baghdad's mostly Sunni district of Adhamiyah.
U.S. and Iraqi forces are conducting a major crackdown in Baghdad aimed at stopping sectarian violence as well as disrupting insurgent cells responsible for car bombings and suicide attacks.
The U.S. military also announced today that a Marine died late last week during combat operations in al-Anbar.
In other news, the outgoing U.S. ambassador to Iraq says U.S. and Iraqi officials are holding talks with some insurgent groups as part of reconciliation efforts.
Zalmay Khalilzad said Monday the talks are aimed at isolating al-Qaida in Iraq.
Khalilzad said Iraqis should seize the opportunity with the deployment of more U.S. forces to make the "decisions and compromises necessary" to stabilize the country.
