Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has returned to Iraq from Jordan after more than two weeks of treatment in Amman for exhaustion and dehydration.
The Iraqi leader arrived Wednesday, in his hometown of Sulaimaniyah. He was taken to Jordan for treatment on February 25.
In other news, a U.S. military spokesman told reporters that the U.S. military believes radical Shi'ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr remains in exile in Iran.
U.S. Major General William Caldwell also said the number of sectarian killings in Baghdad has significantly dropped since the launch last month of a U.S.-Iraqi crackdown on violence in the capital.
In separate developments, a suicide bombing in a market in Tuz Khormato, near Kirkuk, killed at least two people. In western Baghdad, police say two civilians were killed when a suicide bomber slammed a vehicle into an Iraqi army checkpoint.
The U.S. military also announced the combat death Tuesday of an American Marine. The military earlier announced two U.S. soldiers were also killed in Iraq Tuesday.
Also, tribal leaders say the bodies of Saddam Hussein's sons Uday and Qusai were exhumed and buried Tuesday near the former Iraqi leader's grave in Ouja.
Saddam was hanged in December. His sons were killed in a gun battle in July 2003 with U.S. forces.
