The Egyptian ambassador to Pakistan says no Pakistanis were involved in Saturday's bombings in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh that killed nearly 90 people.
Ambassador Hussein Haridy said Tuesday that Egyptian authorities have not accused any Pakistani of involvement in those attacks.
Monday, Egyptian police circulated photographs of several Pakistanis who had arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh earlier this month but later disappeared after leaving their passports at a hotel.
Also Monday, police clashed with Bedouin tribesmen as they searched for suspects in the mountains of Sinai's interior.
And in Washington, President and Mrs. Bush visited the Egyptian embassy to express their condolences.
