British authorities say senior police and intelligence officials have been meeting with security officials from the United States and nearly 25 European nations to develop possible leads in the London terrorist bombings.
Spokesmen say the meetings, which began Saturday at London's police headquarters, included officials from Britain's domestic intelligence agency (MI-5) and international police agencies. No details have been released, but government officials say Prime Minister Tony Blair will address Parliament shortly (at 1430 UTC).
Forensic experts say it may be weeks before all of the bombing victims are identified. Only one of the dead has been named so far - a 53-year-old English woman from outside London.
The terrorist bombs that exploded in three subway cars and a bus in central London last Thursday killed scores of people and wounded about 700. The official death toll stands at 49, but it is expected to rise to nearly 80 once all bodies have been recovered.
