Insurgents have carried out a series of attacks across Iraq, killing at least 25 people and wounding more than 93 others.

Officials in Baghdad say 10 car bombs were detonated in quick succession across the capital Friday, killing 23 people - mostly Iraqi soldiers and National Guardsmen.
Elsewhere in Iraq, insurgent attacks in Basra and the Kurdish town of Arbil killed at least two people, including a bomb disposal expert as he tried to defuse a roadside bomb.
Meanwhile, in an audio message purported to be from Iraq's most wanted fugitive, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant called on his followers to increase attacks on U.S. forces. The voice on the tape directly warned President Bush that his group will not rest as long as American troops remain in the country.
The deadly wave of attacks comes one day after the new Iraqi parliament approved the government of Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari. It will be sworn in Tuesday.
