Rescue workers in Indonesia have located a survivor of Monday's huge earthquake off the coast of Sumatra.
A crew of rescuers from Singapore heard the victim crying out weakly for help Saturday from beneath the rubble of a collapsed building on Nias island, one of areas hardest hit by the 8.7-magnitude quake.
Details of the man's injuries are unknown.
He was discovered after the search for earthquake survivors had already been halted. Indonesian authorities said they expected to find no one alive more than four days after the devastating jolt.
Restoring basic services and shelter for thousands of people whose homes were lost in the quake is now the focus of relief efforts. Water and food are still in short supply in the islands off Sumatra, and bad weather and aftershocks are hampering aid workers.
