Zimbabwe is preparing to release more than 60 South Africans jailed in connection with an alleged coup plot in Equatorial Guinea.
Authorities say the men were to be handed over to Zimbabwe's immigration office for deportation to South Africa.
A lawyer for the men said he expected them to be in South Africa by Saturday.
A spokesman for South Africa's government said a Zimbabwean judge agreed to free most of the men arrested in the plot after reducing their jail terms Wednesday.
The alleged ringleader and two pilots are expected to remain in jail.
The men were arrested after their plane landed in Zimbabwe last year. Most were convicted on weapons and immigration violations.
