There's just no stopping Canadian-born singing sensation Michael Buble. At 29, he has millions of fans the world over, not to mention an exclusive recording contract with one of America's top labels, Reprise. But, Buble was actually thinking of giving up on music after struggling for eight years to land a deal.
Michael Buble decided to give his fledgling jazz career another shot when he learned that one of his biggest fans was Brian Mulroney, the former Prime Minister of Canada. Captivated by his vocals, Mulroney personally invited him to sing at his daughter's wedding. Another guest at the wedding was producer David Foster, who secured a recording contract for Buble, and worked with him on his chart-topping debut album.
It's not often a young jazz singer gets the chance to perform for Prince Charles, who was more than happy to have him sing at the Royal Variety Show in London. Fans also flocked to the Sidney Opera House in Australia, where Buble sang to a sellout crowd five nights in a row. His world tour, which followed the release of his first CD two years ago, also included concerts in Italy, Canada and the United States.
The tour not only added to Buble's growing global fan base, but as soon as it ended, Buble immediately started work on his second album It's Time, working again with producer David Foster.

Fans may notice a little more range as Buble tackles a Latin duet with Nelly Furtado; soul by Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye; a Beatles tune; two jazz standards; and a Leon Russell ballad featuring trumpeter Chris Botti titled "Song For You."
With a voice like Sinatra's, looks resembling Harry Connick, Jr., and Dean Martin's suave and debonair style, Michael Buble is content just being mentioned in the same sentence as his vocal heroes. And while these are artists Buble admires, he says his grandfather was his first musical influence, the one who introduced him to the Great American Songbook. To return the favor, Buble took his grandfather along on his Italian concert tour in 2004.
