Philippine President Gloria Arroyo is pledging to wipe out the terrorists who claimed responsibility for three deadly explosions on Monday.
Ms. Arroyo says the bombings will not force the government to pull back from its campaign against the extremists.
At least 10 people were killed and more than 120 others wounded in bombings in General Santos City and Davao on the island of Mindanao, and in the Philippine capital of Manila.
The Muslim extremist group Abu Sayyaf claimed responsibility for the blasts, saying they were retaliation for the military's campaign against Muslim rebels in the southern Philippine island of Jolo.
The U.S. embassy in Manila has condemned the attacks, and issued a travel warning for all Americans in the Philippines, urging them to exercise caution.
