Delegates from nearly 50 nations, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Russia, are set to attend an international anti-terror conference late this week in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah is set to open the three-day gathering Saturday February 5 in Riyadh. Organizers say the the conference will study ways to identify and eradicate the causes of global terrorism. It will also focus on measures to combat money laundering, as well as drug and arms smuggling.
A Saudi statement says 14 Arab countries will attend, including Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Morocco, Jordan and Algeria.
The United Nations, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Arab League and the European Union head a list of international organizations set to attend.
