Authorities in Iraq say at least 14 people have been killed and 75 injured in a fire that swept through a hospital in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah early Sunday.
The Italian news agency (ANSA) says Italian military personnel stationed in the area helped evacuate the facility.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined. But authorities say they do not believe the fire resulted from insurgent attacks.
Meanwhile, eight Chinese workers taken hostage in Iraq earlier this month have turned up unharmed in Baghdad.
Reuters (news agency) says a new video shows the eight men being greeted by Chinese diplomatic officials at a mosque west of Baghdad. In a video released Saturday, kidnappers said they released the captives after Beijing promised to discourage its citizens from traveling to Iraq.
