ElBaradei: UN Inspector to Visit Iran's Military Site

update

The head of the U.N. nulcear agency says Iran has agreed to allow inspectors access to a military site that the United States alleges is linked to a secret nuclear weapons program.

Mohamed ElBaradei, the chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said in Vienna Wednesday U.N. inspectors could be expected to visit the Parchin military complex "within days or weeks."

The IAEA has been pressing Iran for months for access to the military site, located about 30 kilometers southeast of Tehran. The United States says it suspects the Iranian military may be involved in nuclear arms research at the specially secured complex. Iran insists that its nuclear activity is for peaceful purposes and that its military is not involved.
