A second South Korean company has started producing goods at an industrial park in the North Korean city of Kaesong.
A semiconductor parts maker, SJ Tech, began production Tuesday. The company plans to hire up to 300 North Koreans to work at the site by the end of next year.
A South Korean kitchenware manufacturer, LivingArt, started producing stainless steel kitchen pots at the Kaesong park two weeks ago.
The two Koreas began construction on the industrial park in 2003. The park is intended for South Korean companies wanting to capitalize on cheaper North Korean labor.
