While U.S. President Donald Trump has slipped in recent national polls, he retains core backing in much of America’s farm country, where new trade pacts and massive government assistance for the agricultural sector are popular. As VOA’s Kane Farabaugh reports, along with the coronavirus pandemic, aid and trade are on the minds of many farmers as they prepare to vote in the Nov. 3 contest between Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
