Undocumented Minors Tell Their Story
Illegal immigration continues to be a major issue in the U.S. presidential race, with some candidates advocating vigorous measures to stop the flow of undocumented migrants across the border while others call for immigration reform to grant legal status to some of those who have already entered the country. Caught in the middle are minors who have crossed the border illegally, sent by their parents in the mistaken belief they will automatically be allowed to stay in the United States. VOA's Spanish Division spoke with a number of these young people about the challenges they face. Cheung Pouchin narrates this report, produced by Diana Logreira.
