A Breast Cancer Patient Explains Her Decision to Have A Preventative Double Mastectomy
When Angelina Jolie announced she had both breasts removed to reduce her chances of getting breast cancer, she raised the issue of preventive surgery. Genetic tests had shown the actress had an increased risk for both breast and ovarian cancer. VOA's Carol Pearson has kept in touch with former VOA reporter Zuli Palacio, who has cancer in one breast but decided to have both breasts removed.
